Suvarnprashan for Children in Pune
Suvarnprashan is a classical Ayurvedic sanskar for children: drops prepared with ghee, herbs, honey and gold, given once a month on the day of Pushya Nakshatra.
Who it is for
It can be given from the day a child is born up to 16 years of age, the span the classical texts call the bala age. It is given every month, and tradition holds that the benefit builds with each dose.
Why it is given
Ayurveda gives Suvarnprashan to support a child’s immunity, intelligence and complexion and their general health and vigour.
At the clinic
The drops are given on Pushya Nakshatra each month, with the chanting of the Mahamrutyunjay mantra. It is taken as a course of 12 doses.
