Carbon Facial in Pune

A carbon lotion and a laser pass, for oily skin, open pores and dullness.

In brief

A carbon facial, also called a carbon laser peel, is a procedure in which a thin layer of carbon lotion is spread on the face and a laser is passed over it. The carbon takes up oil and dead cells from the pores and the laser clears it away. Shree Skin & Hair Clinic on Senapati Bapat Road, Pune, offers it under Dr. Nileema Shisode, M.D. (Ayurved), PGDCC.

What a carbon facial is chosen for

  • Oily skin
  • Open pores
  • Dull, uneven-looking skin

What happens in a sitting

  1. The face is cleansed and the carbon lotion is applied and left to dry
  2. You wear protective goggles
  3. The laser is passed over the face. You feel warmth and light snaps
  4. The skin is cleaned, soothed and covered with sunscreen

There is usually no downtime beyond mild redness for a short while.

When it is not the right choice

It is postponed over sunburnt, broken or infected skin and over badly inflamed acne. Tell the doctor if you are pregnant or taking medicine that makes the skin sensitive to light. It freshens the skin; it does not remove deep scars or melasma.
