The two methods
- Non-ablative RF. Radiofrequency energy warms the deeper skin without breaking its surface, which tightens it over a series of sittings.
- Thread lift. Fine threads are placed under the skin to support and lift it.
The doctor advises one or both after looking at your face.
Who it suits
It suits mild to moderate loosening of the skin of the face in someone who does not want surgery. The change is gradual and modest, and it does not last for ever.
When it is not the right choice
Marked sagging needs a surgical lift, and no non-surgical method will match it. The procedure is postponed where there is a skin infection in the area. Tell the doctor if you have a pacemaker or a metal implant, are pregnant, or take blood-thinning medicine.

Does a non-surgical face lift need injections?
RF tightening needs none. A patient of the clinic described having face lifting treatment without any injection or scar. Thread lifts are placed with a fine needle after numbing.
How long do the results last?
They are temporary and vary with age and skin. The doctor will tell you what to expect and how often it would need repeating.
Is there downtime?
RF sittings need none. After threads there can be mild swelling or bruising for a few days.
