Roller or pen
A dermaroller is a small roller set with needles. A dermapen is a pen-shaped device whose needles move up and down, which lets the depth be set precisely and reaches small areas. The doctor chooses between them.
What happens in a sitting
- The scalp is cleaned and numbed
- The roller or pen is passed over the thinning areas
- A hair solution or PRP is applied so that it enters through the fresh channels
The scalp looks pink and feels tender for a day.
When it is not the right choice
It is not done over a scalp infection, sores or active scalp psoriasis. Do not use a home roller on the scalp without advice: a shared or badly cleaned roller can cause infection.
